Labour activist training for members of designated groups

Become a health and safety activist! ETFO is offering Workers Health and Safety Centre Level 1 training for members of designated groups (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit; racialized; person with a disability; 2SLGBTQ+). Training will cover health and safety legislation, advocacy strategies, and identifying misinformation that can interfere with workers exercising their rights.  

Members of designated groups can face unique hazards in the workplace and are needed to become health and safety activists. Learn to recognize all hazards and how to improve health and safety protections at your board.  

Date and time: June 1-5, 2026

Location: ETFO provincial office - 136 Isabella Street, Toronto

Registration opens April 9 and closes April 20, 2026 at 5 p.m.
